This notice describes how we process your personal data when you visit sametics.com, create an account or place an order, pursuant to Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (the “GDPR”).

1. Data controller

The data controller is Sametics S.r.l.s. (Sametics S.r.l. Semplificata), with registered office at Via Balduino 43, 95128 Catania (CT), Italy, VAT and tax ID 06217340873, PEC sametics@pec.it. To exercise your rights or for any question, email us at info@sametics.com.

2. What data we collect

• Order and billing data: name, shipping and billing address, email, phone number, details of purchased products.
• Account data: credentials and preferences, if you create an account.
• Contact data: the content of the emails you send us.
• Browsing data: technical data and cookies collected during your visit (see Cookie policy).

We do not process your full payment card details: these are handled directly by the payment providers.

3. Purposes and legal bases

• Managing orders and returns — performance of the contract (Art. 6.1.b GDPR).
• Tax and accounting obligations — legal obligation (Art. 6.1.c).
• Customer support and Site security — legitimate interest (Art. 6.1.f).
• Newsletter and marketing communications — only with your prior consent (Art. 6.1.a), revocable at any time.

4. Data recipients

We share data only with parties that provide us with necessary services, appointed as data processors where required: the e-commerce platform (Shopify), payment providers, couriers for shipping, email delivery services and hosting. We do not sell your data to third parties.

5. Transfers outside the EU

Some providers may process data outside the European Economic Area. In that case, the transfer takes place on the basis of adequate safeguards (e.g. the European Commission's standard contractual clauses).

6. Retention

We retain data for as long as necessary for the purposes indicated: order and billing data for the periods required by tax law (typically 10 years); marketing data until consent is withdrawn.

7. Your rights

You have the right to access your data and request its rectification, erasure, restriction or portability, as well as to object to processing and to withdraw consent. You can exercise these rights by writing to info@sametics.com. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Italian Data Protection Authority (garanteprivacy.it).
